No news is good news: 11/15/06, 12:31 EST

Hi everyone, We don't have any updates yet, but remember it's early in LA and I'm sure yesterday was a long day for everyone. At this point, no news is good news.

Thank you for all of the calls and e-mails. Deb's got an amazing group of friends and we're getting her your thought as soon as we can. Also, I know that many of us are headed over to LA to see Deb this weekend. We may need to coordinate visit times so that we don't overwhelm the room and that the family can have their time - it will also depend on how Deb is felling. I'll see if I can get some timelines posted.

Keep positive and check back here at Deb central.

A friend in CA/works at Amgen with Deb indicated that this morning a friend spoke to Deb’s mom and Deb seems to be doing well - just hungry and tired. A little problem finding her words. She can have visitors.
I just thought I would pass this along. As another friend of Deb's said if she is asking for food (and when isn't she) then that is good news indeed :)

Debbie,

The thoughts and prayers of your friends here in Austin are with you and your family. It is good to hear that you are asking for food. Let us know if we can send you some County Line Bar B Que.

Update: After the review of the MRI last night, the doctors have decided they can take out more of the cancerous tumor. They also discovered she has an abcess inside of the tumor which might account for the swelling which has occurred in the past week. She will return to surgery tomorrow, the time is unknown. Another MRI will be performed again today in preperation of the surgery. The infectious disease doctors are now doing a work up on her and have stated they have not seen this type of abcess within a tumor before. Leave it to Deb to put the doctor's to work. YEAH Deb!

She looked good last night, we had good conversations with her, She hates how short the beds are and some witty remarks too!

Knowing Deb's spirit, the abscess is probably from her own body trying to fight the tumor so she wouldn't cause anyone any trouble. When you guys who are there have a chance, please tell her to picture herself doing the crazy-knee dance in the short bed for Mollie. It'll be photo-worthy. Also tell her I said to give the nurses hell.
