Encouraging news from Cedars: 11/16/2006, 7:40 EST
Following Deb's second operation the surgical team were confident that they had in fact removed the targeted portion of the remaining tumor they were going after. She's awake, coherent and back to her feisty and funny self, and, her spirits are upbeat; glad that the surgeries are behind her. The surgeons were proactive in taking a small part of Deb's grey matter as a precautionary move. Now Deb may only be twice as smart as the rest of us ; )

The Doctors are so impressed with her progress that they are talking about discharging her as soon as the final pathology report comes back so she will not have to spend the upcoming holiday in the hospital. Something we can all be thankful for.

This weekend many of Deb's friends will be in LA to see her in person. We'll keep you updated as to the treatment options for Deb as things develop, and let you know how you may be able to help during the long road ahead.

Wonderful news...I have been praying so hard for Debbie and her family and all of the Doctors and nurses that tend to her needs. Please tell Deb that Noreen, Michael...Chase, Morgan, Luna and Radar's neice Sandy send their best wishes for a speedy recovery with paw wacks and wet kisses blown her way...we all hope that she will soon be reunited with Radar and Nala..and back to being her old self.

I can't even think of an appropriate word to express how happy I became when I first heard the news of the 2nd surgery being a successful one.

Best Wishes, Deb!

Take care,
Matt

Now THAT's more like it. Awake and coherent??? Are we sure this is Deb REARDON? I knew Dr. Yu was good, but apparently he works miracles and made her coherent for a change. I love you Deb. Now get out of the hospital before the nurses get to you. They're really all just like me.
I'm so relieved....

This is beyond good news - it is in fact great! Boy Deb, you had us going there - good job :). Seriously, so happy for you, your family and friends. Couldn't you have found an easier way to bring us all together? I doubt that most of this crew has ever agreed on anything before now!

Such good news - and so glad to see Barney gracing your website!

So, so pleased to hear the 2nd surgery went well. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. I so wish I could come over with the CT girls this coming weekend but the baby is due any day now so I'll need to stay put for now.
Sending you lots & lots of love and hugs

Debbie! We need to get you OUT of there and rejoin the "shiny, happy people". Your situation has made me (and many others) reflect on life and particularly your amazing role in all of our lives.....tears are hard to suppress. Hi Deb! I am so relieved to hear your surgery went well! I have such fond memories of our Stitch and Bitch days. It's time to make those Christmas decorations!

I can just picture you complaining about those short beds....Tall Girls Unite!!

Better rest up before the rest of the chatty Bitch and Stitch gals arrive for their visit...

I am so happy to hear that the surgery went great and you are doing well. We continue to think of you every day and send positive energy your way. I hope they have a nice yellow johnnie to complement your skin tone - and by the way, are you wearing Spanx ;) Get well soon and have a nice bacon, egg & cheese biscuit for me. Love ya, Kristin C-F

Deb,

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh... the right stuff!!!
We were a bunch of geeks....Amy Cav...you can relate, right? But I must admit, we loved them...too much, LOL! I can't help but think of all the things we've done together (granted it's been a while, but this all triggers memories!!!)
I was just thinking of that day...way back in 90-91??? Still got the 3 keys, right? Looks like one of them is unlocking some doors this past week. Thank God!
Anyway, you're on my mind constantly so I keep this site up on my computer to see if there's any new info on you!
Love ya~Nikki

Debbie;
I am so happy that the 2nd surgery went well. You can't believe all the nurses here at work that keep coming up and asking me how you are doing! That positve thinking and prayer must be helping.
I am sure the puppy kids will be glad to see you.
Love
Patti
